In this fourth step you will be able to describe the knowledge your component uses to fulfill its functionality. This will not only include base knowledge to fulfill the core functionality but could (if applicable) also include knowledge to optimize the algorithm itself, knowledge to optimize interactions with other algorithms and learning knowledge (how to learn). And where there is knowledge there is uncertainty. Three generic category’s are proposed to categorize the handling of uncertainty per knowledge-type.
